RoundTally is a round book for window cleaners who keep their own list of regular customers and want it on their own phone rather than behind a subscription. Open it in the morning and today's jobs are lined up in your working order, as numbered pins on a map and as a list underneath. Tick a job done, say how they paid, and the day's takings climb; choose Collect later and it goes onto the Owed tab. Each customer sits on their own cycle of four, six, eight or any number of weeks, counted from the day you actually cleaned.
The Today screen shows the day's takings in the header, a map with numbered pins in your working order, and the same jobs as a list below with the address, the price and how many weeks overdue each one is. Jobs you have pushed back sit in their own group, and finished ones show a green tick.
Ticking a job opens a card asking how they paid. It shows this clean's price and anything already owed, lets you tap the amount to change it, and gives three buttons: Cash, Bank transfer or Collect later. Cash or transfer adds to the day's total with a chink of coins; Collect later adds it quietly to the Owed tab.
The Owed tab lists each customer with the amount outstanding and how many weeks it has been unpaid, with the total owed at the top. Each row has a Collect button, and you can take part of the amount if that is all they have on them and leave the rest on the book.
In the trade a round is the list of regular customers you visit in order, each on their own cycle. It is the business itself, and cleaners buy and sell rounds. RoundTally keeps that list on your phone: who is due, in what order, what they pay, and who still owes you. There is no account to make, no subscription to keep up, and nothing of yours sits on our servers, because we do not have any.
The app is built for one job and does not try to be an invoicing suite or a scheduling platform for a crew. If you are one person or a small team working a round from a van, this is the shape of tool it is meant to be.
Put each customer on four weekly, six weekly, eight weekly, or type your own number of weeks. The next clean is counted from the day you actually cleaned, so a job done late simply moves the following one along with it. Anything overdue keeps showing up on today's round until it is done, as a fact rather than a telling off.
Rained off, or nobody in? Push the job back and it steps aside for today. It is on tomorrow's round again, and pushing a job back never resets that customer's cycle. The customer list can be searched by name, address or area and sorted by who is due next.
Every I'll pay you next time goes onto the Owed tab under that customer's name, with the amount and how many weeks it has been outstanding. Take part of it if that is all they have on them and the rest stays on the book. When you do collect, the payment card shows the clean and the owed amount separately so you can see what you are taking.
At the end of the day you get one card: jobs done, cash, bank transfer, money collected off the book, and anything new that went unpaid. That is the whole day's accounting, done as you go rather than at the kitchen table.
Pick tomorrow's jobs, or the customers who still owe you, and RoundTally opens your phone's texting app with the message already typed out in plain English. You read it and press send yourself. The app never sends anything on your behalf.
The optional morning reminder tells you how many jobs you are on for. It shows numbers only, so no customer names appear on your lock screen.
The layout is one handed, with big targets for wet or gloved hands, high contrast for bright sun, and a night theme for dark winter starts. Today's round, taking payments and the owed book all work with no signal at all. The only part that needs the internet is the map: turning an address into a pin and loading map tiles while you look at them.
Your round, your prices and your payment history stay on the phone. Export the whole round to CSV or take a full JSON backup at any time, bring a round in from a spreadsheet or another app, and wipe the lot off the phone whenever you want. The app is free, with no subscription and no adverts, and the interface is available in 20 languages.
No. Today's round, ticking jobs off, taking payments and the owed book all work offline. Only the map needs the internet, to place a pin from an address and load tiles.
Push the job back. It steps aside for today and appears on tomorrow's round, and the customer's cycle is not reset.
