Two kinds of pins on one map
A fan spot is a restaurant or cafe your bias actually visited. The fan who was there leaves the etiquette shot they took at the table, the photo of a photocard next to the food that fans post as proof of the visit, plus a line about it. Nothing about a fan spot expires, so the pin is in the same place whenever you come back.
A birthday cafe is different. Fans or fan clubs rent a cafe for a few days to celebrate an idol's birthday, with cup holders and freebies for anyone who visits. Its pin carries the start and end dates and what is on offer, and once the last day passes it leaves the map quietly. Search still finds the ones that already wrapped, listed under Past events with their dates.
Four days in a city you do not know
The core trip Fanspot is built around is a fan flying in for a concert with a few free days. That person should not meet a signup screen first. Open the map, look up the artist, and read every pin, every photo, and every note without registering. Directions hand off to whichever maps app is already on your home screen.
Sign-in is only asked for at the two moments that need it: registering a pin, and following an artist.
Following more than one group
Follow artists and the heart filter keeps only their pins on the map. Their upcoming birthday cafes stack up by date on one screen, so you do not have to search each group in turn. When a new cafe is registered for an artist you follow, a notification reaches you.
If you are the one hosting a cafe
Register a birthday cafe with its dates, venue, and artist tag, and the app builds a share card: one image with everything a visitor needs. You post it yourself, wherever you post. Fans who see the card can open the map and walk to your door.
Left out on purpose
There is no route planner, no reviews or star ratings, and no leaderboard or badge for whoever registered first. The tone is closer to telling a friend about a good restaurant than to a contest. Official artist photos are not bundled, so every image on the map was taken by a fan who stood there.
Pins keep their exact coordinates rather than a blurred circle, because these are public places you walk to. Your own position works the other way: it moves the map inside your phone and is not sent to the server. The app is free, with nothing to watch and nothing to renew.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to look at the map?
No. Searching artists and reading every pin works without signing in. You only sign in to register a pin or follow an artist.
What is the difference between a spot and a birthday cafe?
A spot is a place the artist visited and stays on the map permanently. A birthday cafe is a fan-run event with start and end dates, and its pin leaves the map when the event ends.
Where do the artist names come from?
From fans. Tags are user-created and autocomplete pulls existing ones forward so spellings converge. There is no admin database of artists.
Does the app track where I am?
Your position is used only to move the map on your phone. It is not sent to the server. Pins themselves keep exact coordinates because they are public places.
Can I leave a review or rate a place?
No. Pins hold a photo and a short note only. There are no reviews, ratings, or rankings.
